I am officially an Asheville Marathon Race Ambassador!!!!! The race will be run on the grounds of the Biltmore Estate on March 16, 2014 (please please please hope I'm not on call that weekend). For those that don't know this race will hold a special place in my heart for many reasons. I lived in Asheville for 4 years...that is where me and Ty got our life started together...where Addie was born...where I started my running journey. It was in Asheville that I decided to run my first 5k, and then decided to run a 5k a month...and then got this crazy idea to try a half marathon...and well it went downhill from there. I volunteered at the old Kiwanis 15k at the Biltmore Estate a few years ago. I used to live by the Biltmore Estate and yet never went to visit it. Also I will get to visit several friends that I haven't seen in years. And....since I am doing New York Marathon, Space Coast Marathon, DisneyWorld Marathon...if I add 2 more marathons (which I can easily do) I will move up a maniac star in Asheville!!! So come run with me!!!!

For your chance to come run with me at the Asheville Marathon check out the Mizuno promotion and try to earn a free entry!!
But ....I'm back!! My last 3 runs have felt awesome and I am looking forward to running again :) I have missed it and glad I don't feel completely crazy about my upcoming schedule and training. I tried to add some swimming in for cross training but have gotten rained out every day that I am supposed to go. I guess that is a pitfall of living in Florida during storm season!

I'll update more later about the latest Disney routes and a new one I did in Celebration which was tons of fun!DisneyRunner726http://www.blogger.com/profile/05471146566333184672noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8151297157395697409.post-5785129792511623632013-06-18T23:20:00.000-04:002013-06-18T23:20:26.105-04:00Life can change in an instantI got a text the other day that no one ever wants to get..."I can't talk about it right now but wanted to let you know my dad passed away this morning"...it was from my best friend...my oldest friend...my maid of honor...my daughter's god mother. Growing up my dad wasn't around a lot but her's gladly filled that void. You could count on him to be out running in all sorts of weather (probably my first memory of a runner). We would laugh and always question..why is your dad wearing such short shorts? Doesn't he know it is raining/snowing/hot/cold outside? He was there to pick us up from school and drop us off...although there was that one rainy morning in 6th grade where he waved to me, apparently oblivious to the fact that it was raining and I was walking to school and a ride would have been nice :) He was there to constantly remind you of your childhood nickname and use it even on your wedding day. He was more than a soccer coach racking up red cards, more than a basketball coach, more than a friend's dad. He was one of the closest things I had to a dad and a brain aneurysm took that all away. I positive is that as an organ donor he was able to save 7 other lives.
It has been too painful to go for a run, although I did take the munchkin to Hollywood Studios tonight to escape reality for a bit. Lo and behold a rainbow appeared over the hat...rainbows have a funny way about them...appearing when you need them most to let you know that is everything will be ok. I'll miss you forever Mr. Conroy...I'll be there for Aindrea and John as best I can.
But I passed both my tests and all my graded tests of PA school are complete...if anyone else was counting it was somewhere around 111 tests since June 1, 2011. 10 weeks to go!!! Job interviews are slowly coming in so keep your fingers crossed!!!

The training this week was a little sparse...mainly because of studying and the weather. We have entered humidity and storm season here in central Florida. If you haven't been to Florida in the summer, you are almost guaranteed an evening rain or thunderstorm.

On Tuesday, however, I had my fastest 3 miles...maintained an 11:03 pace. The goal pace was 12:30 so I was very happy with that! I did the first mile with Harley, the middle mile by myself, and the last mile with Davidson. Ty and Addie rode their bikes to cheer me on.
Wednesday was a study break run at Disney's boardwalk with the girls, Ty and Rob. Again it was a faster than expected 4 miles and got done as the thunder was getting closer. I wanted to stay for Wednesday run drinks but a surgery test and PA cumulative test was looming in my future.
Thursday's run was cancelled due to previously mentioned cumulative test and Ty's car dying causing unnecessary stress.
Today's run was HOT and HUMID!!! Things learned today: 1) eat breakfast 2) it is still hot at 5:30am 3) nothing beats the sunrise over the boardwalk and the EPCOT ball, 4) pushing a stroller with a 45 lb kid in it is no fun in the heat. Anyways I cut an 8 mile run down to 5.3 because it wasn't worth it to me to struggle through it this early in the training season and risk illness/injury. Ty rushed over to the gas station to get me some gatorade and something to eat. Then of course we celebrated Father's Day with everyone at....you guessed it....PANERA! I still had very little appetite thanks to heat exhaustion but enjoyed my side of bacon. Oh yeah...and even with pushing the stroller I was under my 12:30 pace goal!

Here is the training plan for the week (it is tentative for now because Ty is away until Wednesday so Tuesday's run may be postponed)
Monday: Rest/Possibly Abs
Tuesday: 4 miles easy at 12:28 (hmm....I'm guessing it will be around 11:30 unless I have the stroller)
Wednesday: Rest/Possibly Abs (Ty comes home!!!!!)
Thursday: 4 miles, including 2x1600 in 10:12 with 800m recovery
Friday: Rest/Swim
Saturday: Swim/Bike
Sunday: 9 miles at 12:28

This week wasn't a very good running week...actually it was a zero mileage running week, but sometimes that is what its needed. In big news...I will be running the NEW YORK MARATHON!!!! I entered the lottery on a whim and actually got picked so we are going to the Big Apple in November!! I'm possibly more excited for this than running Dumbo Challenge in August. I have big expectations for myself in New York. Training starts June 17 so feel free to follow me running to New York! My goal is to be 5lbs lighter and do a 5 hour marathon..EEK!!! My previous marathon goals have been to finish not really with a time goal. This is the first one I am going into that I want to really really rock and push myself and see what I can do. If you have any recommendations for training plans please let me know!! And if you have been to NY, ran NY, or have any other suggestions for NY please let me know! Ty's brother and his wife live in Queens so we will be staying with them but we are so excited to be going! I haven't even closed the window for the ING New York Marathon website :)

Here is the weekly training plan for those following at home:

Sunday (Today) - 4 miles with Kat and 30 day shred (already completed)

Monday - 30 day shred

Tuesday - 4 miles with Della 30 day shred

Wednesday - NATIONAL RUNNING DAY!!! 5k @Fit2Run-Florida Mall and 30 day shred

Thursday - 4 miles with Della and 30 day shred

Friday - 30 day shred

Saturday - 6.5 miles 30 day shred

Sunday - 10 miles 30 day shred

Cast your votes for where Saturday and Sundays run should be...pick a fun route or hotel at Walt Disney World!!

Most people would probably use that to sleep a little extra or have some extra fun...I decided to go on a new adventure and ride my bike around exploring! 10 miles later and I have a very sore butt!!! Will my butt ever get used to a bike seat?? Perhaps I need to invest in some bike shorts :) It was tons of fun though and I'm pretty sure a triathlon is in my future!!! This past week has been on those for me. I was ready to crack at any moment and then on Monday while taking out a gall bladder Elton John came on. For those that don't know me very well, one of my best friends Matthew died our senior year of college and saying he loved Elton John would be the understatement of the century. Everything about that kid was about Elton John. Its funny sometimes how people are always looking out...I heard an Elton John song on the radio before my PA school interview, right after Ty left the first day of PA school, seems like everytime I really need a little boost there he is :) I knew everything would be ok after that. It wasn't long after hearing it that I got the text that everything was working out...all the stress of the last month or so was slowly working out. Anyone else ever have those moments or songs or catching a rainbow in the sky that just lets you know everything will be ok or just makes your randomly start laughing :) Matthew's birthday is coming up...he would be 31 in a few days so for now Happy early Birthday my friend and thanks for always reminding me to smile and that everything will always be ok :)DisneyRunner726http://www.blogger.com/profile/05471146566333184672noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8151297157395697409.post-85987568522232401822013-05-14T21:21:00.001-04:002013-05-14T21:21:21.347-04:00Team Fit2Run-Orlando!!!Last week I promised a big announcement was coming soon...well here it is!!

Oh you want more details than that about the greatest 5k at Disneyworld??? Well here goes. We got to Animal Kingdom around 9pm for the 10pm race. We were in Corral H so we had plenty of time to kill in the corral so talked to those around us :) And there were lots of people around us. Standing in the corral we were able to catch a view for the "May the Fourth Be With You" fireworks special from Hollywood Studios. Who doesn't love unexpected fireworks?!? As the pictures show below the race was full of fun! The afterparty was awesome as well but I was exhausted so we didn't stay long. Ran into some friends and then headed home to shower and sleep....afterall I had a run planned for the next morning at port orleans!

After taking 2 weeks off after Iron Girl Clearwater because my IT band was acting up I am happy to announce I'm back!!!! Today was day 1 of Dumbo training...completed 4 miles painfree!! Switched intervals to 2:1 from 1:1 and did it a minute faster from the 1:1 intervals. Not bad since it was super humid and coming back from the time off. Might have to readjust my time goals for Disneyland :) For those following along at home here is the weeks plan:
Tuesday: 4 miles
Wednesday: 6 week 6 pack with Jillian Michaels and possible run
Thursday: 4 miles
Friday: 6 week 6 pack with Jillian Michaels
Saturday: Possible bike ride
Sunday: 3 miles....location reveal will be posted later in the week!!!!

Also took the tags off and wore my coast to coast shirt for the first time to kick off training!!!DisneyRunner726http://www.blogger.com/profile/05471146566333184672noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8151297157395697409.post-1805177228211474682013-03-24T16:56:00.003-04:002013-03-24T16:56:45.942-04:00Rain Rain Go Away!Yesterday was the Strawberry Classic 15k in Tampa. It was alright...very complicated course!! But ran it with friends and that makes everything better :)

Today's run is brought to you by the letter R...R for Rain! We all met at Fantasia Mini Golf to set out for our 5-10 mile run. I had the munchkin in the stroller so I knew it would be slow. The weather decided to complicate things and the wind kept blowing! My knee starting acting up also but we made it to the beer stop at mile 4 on the Boardwalk. The sky was looking ominous so we turned and decided to take the slightly shorter way back to the cars. By the time we hit Jellyrolls the rain was coming down hard! So we gathered under the awning and waited it out. Once the rain let up a little bit we set out again on the adventure to get to the car...we made it as far as the Swan and again huddled under an awning. We set out again...my knee was tightening up so I kind of hobbled and let a friend push the stroller. We finally made it to the parking lot, but said friend's Garmin was only at 4.6...and she doesn't like to stop on not full miles. I put the munchkin in the car and another friend sat in the car with her while we ran around the parking lot..in the pouring rain..until we hit 5 miles. Once I got in the car and started checking facebook I saw that there were tornado warnings and what not...hmm....glad we didn't end up in Oz!!!!
Yesterday's run was supposed to be split into 2 runs so I could get my miles in and study for my test. I woke up to pouring down rain. Studied all day and then went to sign up the munchkin for kindergarten. I was planning on meeting friends at the Boardwalk to run 5 or 6 miles but because of the threatening rain they didn't want to drive down so I went home and started dinner. I was pretty grouchy about not running, even the munchkin asked me if I had a nap...I took that as a reason to run. The rain was on its way so I leashed up Harley and out the front door we went. We only made it 2 miles before the rain hit. I guess 2 miles is better than no miles. This time last year if there was even a chance of rain I would have taken that as an excuse to not do anything.
Today I had a test in the morning and then planned on running after school. Well I got out of school late and then hit traffic. By the time I made it to the park by my house to do some hill work I was 30 minutes late to meet my running buddy. Ty brought my clothes over so I didn't have to stop at home but I forgot my spandex. My inner thighs don't appreciate that!!! So here we are running hills at 5 in the afternoon in central Florida. HOT!!! So I called the quits at 3 miles...I guess 3 miles is better than no miles. I need to keep reminding myself that this should be a recovery week since I had a great race on Sunday and not get fixated on a mile number...but...we'll see what the rest of the month holds!DisneyRunner726http://www.blogger.com/profile/05471146566333184672noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8151297157395697409.post-62256279162155224762013-03-19T19:39:00.000-04:002013-03-19T19:39:52.557-04:00Dumbo Double Dare Training Commencing! On Sunday I hit a major milestone...I broke 2:30 for a half marathon for the first time! Official Finish time of Florida Halfathon at Ft deSoto beach was 2:26:46!!! Holy cow...I have never run that fast in my life!! It felt amazing. I started this season's race schedule with the goal to break 2:45 so that I could have a time to submit to RunDisney, because let's face it and acknowledge it and love it...my world revolves around runDisney! Well I never thought I would hit 2:26!!!
I have also decided to start blogging again on my journey to the Inaugural runDisney Dumbo Double Dare! I will be running a 10k on Saturday (with Ty for his first long run) and then a Half Marathon on Sunday! This should be easy because it is half the distance of Goofy, but possibly just as hot! I will earn my first Coast2Coast medal!!!!
So that everyone running along at home can follow along I will post the weeks workout on here and then update once or twice during the week. At least 1 run a week will be done at Walt Disney World so that I can TrainatDisneytoRunDisney! Reader's choice wins for location!!! Today's run was at Downtown Disney. It was hot but beautiful!!!
Runs for the rest of the week:
Wednesday: 4 miles in the morning and 5 miles in the evening (at Boardwalk)
Thursday: 4 miles
Friday: rest day
Saturday: Strawberry Classic 15k
Sunday: 5 miles
The morning starts with Mickey's Jingle Jungle 5k through Animal Kingdom as a family. It was awesome and Ty's foot didn't bother him. Disney started holding the strollers back behind the walkers which I totally understand just wish we had known about it before hand and wouldn't have been prepared to run but would have been prepared to slowly walk. After a mile they let us go and we settled into having a fun run. It was awesome! We didn't get much time to hang out afterwards because we had to rush Addie to her first basketball game! She did awesome!!! We left early to get back in time for her kid race...which we missed :( But the runDisney girls were so sweet and offered to run around the track with her. She clammed up with shyness so instead they let her run just through the finish line and get her medal! We met up with some friends for a few minutes and then headed home for a quick bite to eat. Ty took Addie to a birthday party so I could get a nap in.
Next thing I know we are on our way back to Disney for the Wine and Dine Half Marathon! I need to keep reminding myself that I need to take it easy and save my legs for Spacecoast marathon which is in 2 weeks. I'm just going to have fun and get as many pictures as possible!
I meet up with friends from the Pacebook Running Group before hand and have a blast. I stand in the longest port-o-potty line ever and sprint to the corral and work my way to my friends so we can start together. The fireworks go off and away we go. My shins start out tight again and my quad is struggling. I start wondering if this was a good idea or if I should bail or pull out of Women's Half Marathon next weekend and then I see Goofy. I get in the longest character line of the night and wait and stretch. A few people before me and Goofy goes on break but Chip and Dale come out which is fine with me! Get my picture and I'm off again. I know Ty is waiting by the overpass by McDonald's so that gives me a boost to keep going. The miles start going by and my legs are loosening up. My overall pace is horrible but my pictures are awesome and I'm smiling the whole way! I pass Ty and another one of our friends and run through Animal Kingdom and see them again on the way to Hollywood Studios. I'm feeling great now conquering the overpasses and ramps like a champ! I paused my Garmin for a picture at mile 7.6 with Goofy for real this time, and forgot to turn it back on until mile 8. Oops :) I run up hills that I have always walked before and feel awesome. Through Hollywood Studios I go and once I reach the boardwalk my legs go into autopilot mode and I'm all set. A few more pictures and I get into Epcot. Almost done now! From mile 13 to the finish we run under a smoke screen all lit up...it was pretty awesome!!! Mickey and Minnie are at the finish line but on opposite sides...what's a girl to do? Dart across runners like I'm playing frogger to get a picture with both obviously! I finally cross the finish line with a giant smile on my face!! My time was rough but that was definitely the most fun I had on a race in a long long time!!! And that finished up my DisneyWorld runDisney 2012 sweep. Thanks for an awesome year runDisney!! See you at Marathon Weekend for Goofy 2013!!!DisneyRunner726http://www.blogger.com/profile/05471146566333184672noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8151297157395697409.post-45810102497361060012012-11-16T20:06:00.000-05:002012-11-16T20:06:55.354-05:00Running to a PRI'm taking on the Florida Road Race Challenge! A half marathon in October, December, January and March..complete all 4 and get a bonus medal! I did the one in March last year and loved it so it is the same course as October so I'm ready to rock it! We woke up early, too early and headed to Ft. de Soto beach for a wonderful 13.1 miles. It was chillier than I was expecting, much colder than Tower of Terror and Addie was still sleeping in the car so I headed to the start line with my jacket on while Ty stayed in the car with her. I would see him on the course to pass my jacket too as I warmed up. By the way...I love my Brooks Utiopia jacket! The race starts and we are off. I want to stick to my intervals but no one around me seems to be doing the Galloway method and I don't want to stop to walk in front of anyone so I just keep running. I see Ty up ahead and prepare to hand off my jacket. My shins are bothering me a little bit and my quad is still iffy. I'm questioning if I can finish around mile 2 and as I pass Ty come out of the out of the first little loop I'm struggling pretty hard. However I get a boost as I pass the start line to go to the out and back...I just have to make it 5 miles to the turn around. My shins are loosening up and I've settled into my intervals...did I just do a 5k faster than ever before but feeling awful? I sure did!! My garmin is starting to act up so I grab Ty's watch as I pass him and shout that i'm going to break 3 hours! As I pass mile 5 I am 7 minutes under my average! What?!? I'm rocking it! Mile 8 and my time is what I usually do 7 miles in. I hit the turn around and take an orange slice...delicious! At mile 10 I'm 15 minutes under what I just did Tower of Terror 10 miler in. I could walk the rest and still get a PR. I slow down quite a bit for the next 3 miles because I'm heading into the wind and feel like I'm not moving at all. At mile 12 I send Ty a text saying be ready to catch me at the finish because I feel like my legs are going to fall off. He sees me turn the corner and tells me to go as he sees the clock...I might break 2:45. I am willing my legs to go as fast as they can but they are dead! I squeak out a little energy and do it...2:44!!! I get my first time worthy of submitting to Disney :) I took 14 minutes off my lifetime half marathon time and 19 minutes compared to this course last March. We grab a quick bite to eat and Ty buys me my first medal hanger from Iron Sports Works. My legs are sore but feel good. It is amazing what training can do!!! Next week is a week off then it is Wine and Dine time!DisneyRunner726http://www.blogger.com/profile/05471146566333184672noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8151297157395697409.post-40902540016424297482012-11-15T22:37:00.002-05:002012-11-15T22:37:17.584-05:00Fall Race Season is here!!!Where to begin because life has been so crazy with school, Addie, and training! That's right...I said training!! It is amazing what training can do and I love it!!

Disney's Tower of Terror 10-miler weekend was the end of September and it was amazing! We started with the 5k in the morning, first 5k with just me and Ty and not the stroller :) It was a loop around Wide World of Sports Complex through the woods and fields. Because it went through the dark and scary woods, we had to wait for the sun to come up before it could start. That made for a bit of standing around but then we were off!! Ty did great as we did our 1:1 ratio. Around mile 2 though he felt his plantar fascia pop so we hobbled to the end with smiles on :) After the 5k we ran into Addie's school friend and his dad which also happens to be her teacher while waiting for the kid races to start. Dear Disney...don't do the mile first! The older kids have a much better tolerance at waiting than the little ones. Addie started off great but then clammed up as people were cheering for her but once she saw Mickey she was off! Almost tackled the mouse with the biggest smile on her face! We went to a pizza/italian place by our house to get my race fuel for the night race. Came home, took a nap, and before I knew it were back on our way to Disney for the 10-miler! It was an awesome time waiting with friends for the pre-race celebrations. I left Ty and headed for the corral with some friends...they had to stop and use the potties but I kept going to get a good start. The fireworks went off and we so did we! Ok...need to stick with my minutes..1 minute run, 1 minute 1walk. Feeling good...turn around and take some pictures, turn and keep running. I'm feeling awesome!! 1 mile, 2 mile, 3 mile and we are at Animal Kingdom...really did I make it over the overpasses without dying?? Now I'm starting to get hot on the way to WWoS but its ok...I feel like I have wings on my feet! Turn into WWoS through the same trail through the woods that we did in the morning but this time in the dark! I'm bob and weave through people on my runs and stop and talk to people during the walk. Still having a blast but getting hot. Ty is just after mile 6, I just have to make it around Champion Stadium and then I'll get my boost when I see him. I get chills going through Champion Stadium, almost as cool as turning down Main Street! As I pass Ty I toss him my shirt...am I really so hot that I am now running in just my sports bra...OMG...yes! I get my second wind and I'm off...see you at the finish line babe! Mile 7, 8, 9...did I really just past mile 9?? That means only 1 mile to go. That mile seemed to take forever! But I got my best time ever 2:15!! I felt great after the race which is pretty remarkable compared to how others felt. Ty's foot was pretty sore so I got my Mickey Ice Cream and we headed home after a great night!DisneyRunner726http://www.blogger.com/profile/05471146566333184672noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8151297157395697409.post-308578588955054002012-07-22T21:03:00.000-04:002012-07-22T21:03:52.180-04:00Weekly WorkoutMaybe by posting my weekly plans 1) my training schedule won't look so daunting as when I look at the whole calendar and 2) I will be more accountable

Last week started out awesomely with DisneyRunFest2012. I have started trying to break out my bubble and meet people and what better way than to connect with other fellow runDisney lovers! So I met 4 other people from facebook/twitter and ran 4.5 miles around the Seven Seas Lagoon! I had never run that path and always wanted to try it. Definitely going to add it into the rotation!! However..with several good runs during the week I let life and sleep get in the way of my long run so it has been postponed.

So here is the schedule for this week:
Monday: 4 miles with 6 week 6 pack
Tuesday: 4 miles with 30 Day Shred
Wednesday: 6 week 6 pack
Thursday: 10 miles (what better way to celebrate a new decade of your life!!)
Friday: 30 Day Shred
Saturday: 6x800 in the morning and a shorter run in the evening
Sunday: 30 Day Shred and 6 week 6 pack (maybe)

Feel free to follow along and add your own work out plans. It is time to step it up as fall race season is quickly approaching! 10 weeks until Tower of Terror 10 miler!DisneyRunner726http://www.blogger.com/profile/05471146566333184672noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8151297157395697409.post-64865421296638994032012-06-05T22:03:00.000-04:002012-06-05T22:03:41.489-04:00Days 8 and 9Yesterday was day 8 of the streak and consisted of 2.5 miles and taking my friend out for her first run ever! She asked me to help her to do C25K. She has never run before and made it a mile with quite a bit of walking but that is better than nothing! I did an extra mile after that :)

Today I decided that I would try the Jeff Galloway Time Improvement Plan for Tower of Terror 10 miler. Although I'm a week behind, last weeks long was only 4 miles and I did that :) Today's schedule called for 45 minutes. I did a 2:1 ratio and completed 3.3 miles in 45 minutes in the rain. Not too bad I guess.

Tomorrow is a technical race day but I will be do day 2 of C25K with V-ron :)DisneyRunner726http://www.blogger.com/profile/05471146566333184672noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8151297157395697409.post-51235228648500026052012-06-03T20:36:00.000-04:002012-06-03T20:36:22.646-04:00Spandex not optionalToday was perfect!! Spent the day at the beach with my little family...playing in the sand and splashing in the waves. I was completely exhausted when we got home. Originally I was planning on running 5-8 miles but I could have gone to bed for the night at 5 o'clock! I decided I had to keep my streak mile so I threw on my shoes and did a quick mile. I didn't bother putting on spandex under my shorts...now I remember why I always wear spandex..if only my inner thighs would shrink :) I got my mile in though, 12:00 on the nose.
I packed my school bag for the first time in 3 weeks...can't believe classes are starting up again tomorrow!DisneyRunner726http://www.blogger.com/profile/05471146566333184672noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8151297157395697409.post-44696997562874534242012-06-02T20:33:00.000-04:002012-06-02T20:33:06.243-04:00I forgot!I forgot the best part of my run today...while doing 2:1 intervals...I looked down during one of the run portions and I knew I felt like I was flying...I was doing an 8:30 pace...and it didn't feel too bad! If I can keep that up I'll be flying for Tower of Terror 10 miler :)DisneyRunner726http://www.blogger.com/profile/05471146566333184672noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8151297157395697409.post-28151928852322268942012-06-02T20:29:00.000-04:002012-06-02T20:29:01.506-04:00Yay for no bounce!I got a new sports bra!!! A Nike High Impact Drifit cute blue one. It is super comfortable and supportive...almost forgot I was wearing it. Yes it is that comfortable!!! I think I will be buying more tomorrow. I didn't want to get more than one until I tried it out.
Streak update: I did 1.5 miles today. I was planning on more but by the time we got home from grocery shopping it was 7:30, by the time groceries were put away it was 8:00. I decided to go run while Ty and Addie ate dinner. After a mile I realized that I was extremely hungry as well...and so was Harley. So after the 10th time that he stopped to eat some grass I decided we should go home and have dinner as well :)

And.....I bit the bullet and finally registered for 2 more races today. Wine and Dine Half Marathon and Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge!!! So excited to not have to stalk runDisney.com and monitor the fill percentage. I'm in! I have committed to another 39.3 mile conquest in 2 days. I have officially lost my mind. I put in the Goofy training schedule onto my calendar last night. It is going to be hard but I'll be ready!DisneyRunner726http://www.blogger.com/profile/05471146566333184672noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8151297157395697409.post-71790625843231239532012-06-01T20:49:00.002-04:002012-06-01T20:49:20.226-04:00I streaked...twice...Yesterday was a double streaker kind of day. I set out in the morning to try and get some miles in so that I didn't have to stress about getting the miles in at running club. Well....I had some problems...some sports bra problems...apparently it is time for new ones. I think I am down to 2 bras that I can run in without bouncing all around. Needless to say my run didn't happen...I walked Harley for a mile though to make sure that the streak continued.
Running club was last night as well so we all went, Ty, Addie, and myself. It looked like the skies were going to unleash on us so I was hoping I could get my four miles in. I double backed a few loops of the parking lot and would then catch up to Ty and Addie again. Around mile three every one else was finishing and I was ready to give up and just not make my 50 miles for the month. Not sure why I was so scared of finishing after everyone. It was the words of a 4 year old that made me finish. Addie looked up from the stroller and said "Never give up mommy". How could I not finish after that. Thanks to Ty and Addie not letting myself I give up...I did it...I finished way after every one else but they waited for me and so did the two workers of Fit2Run. I made my 50 miles for May! Now if only I could keep the running pattern I had for the last week...28 miles in 7 days...and I wouldn't have to worry about getting my miles in on the last day :)

I'll combine today's streak post also. I was only going to take Harley on my mile run (rest day) but Davidson looked so sad so I leashed him up also and decided I would attempt to run with both dogs. Big mistake!! At least they got a nice mile walk out of it and my streak continues!DisneyRunner726http://www.blogger.com/profile/05471146566333184672noreply@blogger.com0
